  16.     On Friday I had sent a piece of code (one line actually) to
  17. add to xdvi.c in the xdvik-1.2 package that would remove .dvi from
  18. the icontitle of the file being previewed when xdvi was iconified.

  20. Unfortunately, this has a side effect that makes it unworkable in the
  21. current format.

  23. If the dvi file is changed while it is being previewd, xdvi comes back
  24. with the message "Cannot reopen dvi file." when asked to redisplay.
  25. This is probably because xdvi uses the filename without the ".dvi" 
  26. extension to reopen the file and a file by that name may not exist.

  28. I have not been able to figure out how to fix this - icon_name is only
  29. used in the function XSetStandardProperties for which I do not have the
  30. documentation.
